3 Outfits Perfect for Chronic Illness and Pain.

Everyday Outfit

Top: Simple T-shirt. - Simple T can be cute and still allows for room if you have any medical devices under your shirt. A T tied at the waist can modernize an outfit and add definition, making you appear more put together.

Bottom:

Athletic Leggings.- Athletic legging have more structure than a cotton legging while still having the same flexibility and comfortability. Athletic wear is also super popular and allow you to have "a look" rather than just a comfy outfit. The ones here are form Nike. Arie by American Eagle also has really cute options. Shoes:

Athletic Sneaker. - Not only does it match the "athletic look" but athletic sneakers are built well with lots of support and are much easier on sore joints. The ones here out also from Nike.

Accessories:

Sunglasses- Pretty self explanatory, good for fashion, good for sensitive eyes. It's a win/win.

Tote- A nice tote (I always get mine at TJMaxx) can hold medical supplies as well as a book or computer making it perfect for being out and about.

Professional Outfit:

Blouse: A cute professional blouse can easily dress up a very casual outfit. I will wear one with jeans to all my doctors appointments. Also no buttons for those with bad fingers.

Bottoms:

A nice pair of dark wash jeans, with stretch, are still fairly comfy and will look clean pressed with a nice top.

Shoes:

I kept the sneakers here as I walk a lot and much prefer to be comfy with my joints, but you could easily put a flat on to dress it up even more

Accessories.

Same purse and sunglasses as before. Easy to be prepared if you're with a doctor or going to work or classes.

Night Out Outfit

Dress:

A loose fitting tank dress (or t shirt dress) is breathable and easy to put on. When in black it easily looks sleek and modern.

Coat:

A long tweed jacket is super modern and fashionable and is something that will keep you warm if your body isn't so good at doing that its self.

Shoes:

Nice loafers like this come in multiple heel sizes for those who need flats and those who like more lift. They are typically well built and offer more support than a typical flat. They also look nice and very put together.

Accessories:

A smaller, cross body, purse is good to keep out of the way if you don't want the whole medical bag with you but still offers room for pills or inhalers, or what have you. I kept the sunglasses because even as the sun sets my eyes are still sensitive and they double as a headband later !
